About the Client
Selco Builders Warehouse is a UK-based builder company that caters to tradespeople to complete their jobs. The company’s core business includes supplying building materials and offering warehousing and retailing support. In 1895, Selco Builders Warehouse started its journey as a small packaging company. With its long history, it has become a prominent and well-regarded builders’ warehouse. Currently, the company’s services to builders, plumbers, carpenters, and electricians have expanded all across the UK with its 76 branches.
To build the brand and attract more tradespeople to smoothly run their operations, Selco Builders Warehouse frequently engages in promoting its services on online platforms and its websites. They need high-quality photos to publish in catalogs and websites, during digital marketing activities.
Professional, polished, and organized-looking images are a must to fulfill Selco’s commercial goals. Simon explained, ‘You can demonstrate the product in various ways through photos, but services have limitations. When you post high-quality images, you get an additional 2 seconds from the viewers. That’s the advantage.’

Being a Creative Manager of the company, Simon has a lot to organize, manage, and finish. Keeping other responsibilities aside, image quality is a great concern. He decided to distribute responsibilities among professionals which meant he needed to hire a professional photography-post production service company.
He searched Google for top companies that are reputed in this industry and made a shortlist. Though the handpicking search was a long process, Simon decided to give it all to avoid the same painstaking process again. After checking those shortlisted companies’ free trial, work quality, and communication process, he decided to work with Clipping Path Studio (CPS). One of the CPS representatives took charge of Simon’s project, and they both first discussed the challenges Simon was facing.
Technical Challenges
Challenge 1
Simon needed professional images that would follow brand standards without losing quality. He wanted the changes to be in-depth, not something that would lack depth and clarity to the viewers. So, Simon asked us what type of service would be appropriate for the images.
Challenge 2
The brand needed a bulk amount of image editing as urgently as possible. The work order would be from time to time. The quality and consistency can’t be compromised in any way. Images must align across all publishing platforms.
Challenge 3
As Selco Builders Warehouse does business with a service, its images would come in variations. Can CPS protect this intellectual property? Also, the editing type in images would frequently change. How would the price be calculated?
Results
Clipping Path Studio’s calculative methods and precision retouching techniques generated astounding outcomes for Selco Builders Warehouse as follows.
- 61% improvement in interaction: After posting retouched photos by CPS professionals, image interaction and engagement rates increased in every publishing platform.
- 37% increase in on-foot traffic: Images clearly displayed the business for the company. Simon expressed that now more people are looking for them directly to understand their business process.
- 73% reducing visual bottlenecks: Simon’s creative team now has ample time saved to contribute to the business growth, while the expert retouchers of CPS are taking care of images.
The collaboration between Simon and CPS made a huge positive impact on both businesses and relationships. Simon was looking for a team to work with for a long time to handle the external, unnoticed workload. I was overwhelmed by whom to trust; they all had many options to offer, diverse pricing rates, and numerous steps to follow. CPS has simple onboarding, easy-to-order, and transparent pricing. One of my best decisions was to work with Clipping Path Studio.
